The job
The Pool Doctor has been taking care of pools since 1956. Brian Heath brought the business to Placer County, where he grew up, and runs the routes himself. Bigger competitors in the area had hundreds of reviews and polished sites. A new local operation needed to look established on day one, show up when people search, and give them a reason to call the guy who lives here. We took on everything: the site, the hosting, search, the Google profile and the ads.
What we did
- Positioning built on one true thing: the owner lives where he works. The headline reads “The pool guy actually lives here.”
- A site with a page for every service, from weekly service and saltwater pools to green pool recovery, pumps, heaters, filters and equipment installs
- A page for each community they serve, with local detail we fact-checked line by line, down to water hardness by city
- Quote form, tap-to-call and a sticky call bar on mobile
- SEO across every service and community page, so they show up for the searches that turn into routes
- Google Business Profile set up from scratch and kept current
- Paid advertising on Google aimed at the services and towns they want more of
- Hosting, SSL and DNS handled by us
